the Southern America United is the second Great Human Confederation, as CEK it roots in the 21th century: while USA and China struggled for domination, another country was working to build its strenght, it was Brazil. since 19th century's end, Southern America has been seized under USA control and american multinationals's exploitation, with only Cuba resisting, and with the western economic crysis, Brazil was planning to replace USA.
the great twist came with the unexpected revolution in Mexico, where Zapatist guerrilla(starting with the assassination of Subcommander Marcos by USA) finally took down the government (thanks to previous chinese help) in 2034. with the chinese crysis, Mexico found itself without sustainment, so it accepted an alliance with Brazil. in 2046 this alliance suceeded in conquering Cuba, which was conquered by the USA in 2022. however, Argentina didn't see well this alliance, and in order to avoid war joined the alliance.
after the Great Cathastrophe in 2120, the Mexico-Cuba-Brazil-Argentina alliance took under its rule all Southern America, and conquered New Zealand during the Oceanic war(USAA vs GAP vs SAU) and part of western Africa(SAU vs CEK vs INC).
SAU, despite being cemocratic and having a modern capitalistic economy, balances with bits of communist thought, especially with concepts of social equality and refuse of ideology, and considers itself victorious where China and URSS failed. latins(SAU inhabitants).

-Avispas Negras ‘BlackWasp’ Commando(Cuba):
role: Guerrilla, Counterguerrilla.
Equipment: flamethrower, sniper rifle, modular shotgun, handguns, jetpack, combat knives, rocket launcher, tactical machete.
the oldest elite in SAU, the Blackwasp commando was already in charge for defendinge the island in 21th century, serving as counter-guerrilla units. however, after the american occupation and the 'batalla de liberacion cubana(struggle for cuban liberation)' together with Brazil and Mexico, they evolved into a polivalent corp, both able to effectively use guerrilla and neutralize it. their mastery of machete and use of jetpack makes them deadly.

-Quetzal Assaulters (Mexico):
role: Counter-guerrilla, shocktrooper.
equipment: modular grenade launcher, cluster bombs, assault rifle, shotgun, combat knives, handguns.
mexican heavy infrantry, specialized in front-line attacks and defense. thanks to the experience got in the guerrilla first against mexican former government and then against USA and China, they developed a specialization in counter-guerrilla. their name comes, obviously, from the aztec deity Quetzalcoatl, used by SAU as a symbol of unity and resistance(indios resistance against conquistadores). they sometimes they work as cavalry.

-NEO SAR (Brazil):
reole: guerrilla, anti-infrantry shocktrooper.
equipment: handguns, long range assault rifle, levy machinegun, concussive grenades, combat knives, modular shotgun.
the special operation elite of Brazil, these elite soldiers work both as paratroopers and scubatrooper, and exploit this superior mobility together with stealth and vehicle-transport for hit and run tactics, wreaking havoc and disappearing.
